MY PHILOSOPHY
Resilience isn't something you find.
It's something you remember.

The body is designed to heal — when we remove what stands in the way.
At CY Wellness, we partner with your body rather than pushing against it, using science-grounded methods and gentle therapies to help your nervous system find its way back to balance.

How CY Wellness was born
My Healing Journey...
I remember the moment I didn't recognize the person I had become. I was angry. I was resentful toward the people I loved, and I didn't want to feel that way anymore. But at the time, I didn't really see myself as the problem. I felt like I had spent years showing up for everyone around me. I was there when my kids needed me. I supported my husband. I was the fixer, you know the person everyone can rely on and comes to. So in my mind, my anger made sense. I felt like, Of course I'm angry. Look at everything I've done. Look at everything I've tried to help with. And somehow we're still here. I thought I was angry because of the choices other people were making. Because they weren't listening. Because I felt dismissed. Because after everything I had done to help, things still weren't changing. I didn't understand yet how much of my own life had become wrapped up in what everyone else was doing. I just knew I didn't like the person I was becoming. Eventually, I got to the point where something had to change. I felt desperate. I hated how I was treating the people I loved, and I was tired of feeling like the victim in my own life. That's when I decided to go to therapy. I went for about a year and a half because I genuinely wanted to understand why I was so angry and how to get past it. And therapy did help me understand some things. It gave me a place to talk about what had happened and why I was hurt.I would show up for my weekly therapy session, sometimes nervous to talk about my childhood hurt and my current frustrations, wondering if it was too late to cancel because I was OVER talking about my problems, but I kept going anyways. I noticed I wasn't becoming less angry. If anything, I was focusing even more on all the things that had happened and all the reasons I was upset. I understood more about why I felt the way I did, but I didn't feel any different. I was still angry. On the day I finally decided to stop going to therapy, I was talking with a friend who had been through a traumatic experience that completely changed her life. She told me about something called Biomagnetic Therapy and how much it had helped her. I had never heard of it before, and honestly, I didn't really understand what it was. But I was desperate. I was so upset that I had spent all that time in therapy and still didn't feel the way I thought I would. So while we were still talking, I went online and made an appointment. I didn't know if it would help. I knew I needed something to change. After my first Biomagnetic Therapy session, I felt lighter. Things didn't feel quite as intense. That got my attention. As I continued my own healing, I kept learning. Biomagnetic Therapy became an important part of that journey and eventually something I wanted to learn so I could help other people. I learned Biomagnetic Therapy, Emotional Trauma Release, to really understand how these tools can help with building emotional strength. Then I found breathwork. And breathwork reached something in me that the other modalities hadn't. I felt intense emotions—anger, sadness, and frustration. I knew I was releasing something powerful. The more I practiced breathwork, the more I started noticing how my emotions could take over my mind and even my body. Before this, I could never pinpoint the exact moment when my emotions would take over. I would get so overwhelmed that I couldn't control what came out of my mouth or the way I responded to people. I hated that feeling. But I started being able to recognize those moments sooner. And the more I practiced, the better I got at breathing through them before my emotions completely took over. Today, I still have moments of anxiety and overwhelm, but they happen less often and I feel much more capable of moving through them. It made me realize how many people probably have this same kind of experience every day. Feeling overwhelmed by their emotions. Reacting in ways they don't want to. Saying things they wish they could take back. Snapping at their husband, kids, and close friends and reliving the regret over and over in their minds. And for some people, I could see how easily that could start taking over their ability to enjoy their life. I was tired of seeing people desperate for help and not knowing where to find it. Or trying things, not getting the help they needed, and eventually giving up and accepting that maybe this is just as good as it gets. Because I know what that feels like. I know what it's like to desperately want something to change and not know what else to do. And through my own healing, I learned that there isn't one thing that works for everyone. Different things can help at different times in our healing journey. This is when CYWELLNESS was born. I wanted to help people who were tired of feeling overwhelmed by their emotions and reacting in ways they didn't want to learn how to work through what they were feeling instead of letting it take over their life.
